Family Transfers Outnumber Open-Market Sales In Abington's Latest Deed Filings

Ten property deeds were recorded in Abington from Aug. 28 through Sept. 26, but only four carried a sale price by press time, ranging from $599 to $900 with a median of $667. The top recorded sale was 13 Mahoney Circle at $900. Two sales, at 56 and 57 Battery Street, closed the same day. Six of the 10 deeds were transfers within the same family or into a trust, and none of those carried a recorded price. With just four priced sales in four weeks, the period reads as quiet based on the available data.
