ABINGTON -- June 23, 2026, Abington Conservation Commission ratifies two enforcement orders and extends a wetland deadline at its June 23 meeting. Chair Lynn Mullen presided over a session that approved a certificate of compliance for a completed single-family home project at 206 High Street, brought before the commission by Glen Lapointe Jr. of Abington Investments, after conservation agent Nick Jenks and members A.J. Schneider and Chris O'Neill confirmed all conditions had been satisfied on a prior site visit. The commission unanimously extended the plan-filing deadline in an enforcement order for 182 Groveland Street from July 13 to August 18, after the same three-person team found an elaborate structure situated roughly 32 feet from an estimated wetland boundary and evidence of fill in the buffer zone, but no formally delineated wetland line. Schneider told the commission "there's really no way of knowing the extent of what was done" without a wetland scientist's delineation. Separately, the commission ratified two enforcement orders for 267 North Quincy Street, one for map 34 lots 4 and 6, owned by VHC Realty Trust, and one for lots 7 through 10, correcting ownership records as the matter proceeds in active court litigation with the town; Jenks noted a stream identified in April 2026 photography on the southern lots connects to at least three mapped water bodies in the area.
