Zoning Board approves fire rebuild and garage ADU conversion
Zoning Board · Meeting of May 14, 2026
Abington Zoning Board approves fire-damaged home addition and garage-to-ADU conversion. Vice Chairman Robert Manning chaired in place of Chairman Richard Peterson, out with a health issue, and recused himself from the first vote citing "past history" with the property. Members Richard Negrelli, Sandy Burbine and Andrew LaValle unanimously approved a 14-by-18-foot room addition at 58 Blanchard Terrace for a home being rebuilt after a fire.
The board then unanimously approved Paul LeBassiere's request to convert an existing 864-square-foot garage at 77 Linwood Street into a two-bedroom accessory dwelling unit, with LeBassiere saying "we are both getting older" and want single-floor living. A final agenda item could not be heard because it wasn't legally advertised.
