Vice Chair Carol Dolan announced Chair Katie Van Nist resigned effective August 26 after serving on the board since 2022, and said she will serve as interim chair "for the next two meetings." Applications for the vacant, appointed seat are due September 22, with a joint Select Board and Board of Health vote scheduled for September 28; the appointee serves until the April 2027 town election. The board also flagged a renewed, grant-funded memorandum of understanding with the Massachusetts Health Officers Association for fiscal year 2027 tobacco compliance checks, and walked through bulk-item disposal under new hauler Allstate Waste, including a dedicated text line, 888-559-0909, for pickup requests.
Members approved the August 24 minutes and adjourned, both by unanimous voice vote.
