Abington Schedules Oct. 27 Vaccine Clinic at Town Hall
Board of Health · Meeting of September 29, 2026
Abington Board of Health hears bid from former health agent to reclaim board seat. Chris Schultz, who previously served as both a Board of Health member and chair before becoming the town's health agent for nearly four years, submitted a statement read into the record ahead of a same-night Select Board vote on the board's vacant seat: "My desire to serve Abington remains." The board also announced a free flu, COVID-19, shingles, RSV and pneumonia vaccine clinic with Stop & Shop at Town Hall's Buckley Room on Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and unanimously approved its September 14 meeting minutes. The board's own health agent post remains unfilled, with temporary part-time agent Dan Kelly covering emergent calls on Fridays; members said a permanent hire is close, with interviews complete.
