Abington home sales span from $415,000 to $5.7 million in July-August period

Abington recorded 12 property transfers between July 24 and Aug. 22, eight of which carried a sale price, ranging from $415,000 to $5.7 million with a median of $686,750. The month's standout transaction was 1437 Bedford St., which sold for $5.7 million between two LLC entities, far outpacing the next-highest sale of $900,000 on Presidential Drive. The remaining four transfers, on Hamilton, Randolph, Winthrop and Kimber streets, recorded nominal consideration under $10,000 and involved parties sharing surnames, suggesting family-related transfers rather than market sales. Outside the Bedford Street outlier, prices clustered between $415,000 and $900,000, showing no single geographic concentration across town streets.
